A Job well done!!!!
Helped a friend make these post it note holders this afternoon/evening as gifts for friends I taught her how to make them a few months ago. If you like them why not ask me about a Stampin Up party. You could earn hostess benefits and acquire new skills!!! contact me on 07821964649 or rosieandrogerminors@btinternet.com for more details.Monday, 27 May 2013
The card that never was....aka a technique too far
When you make a card for a birthday, you are supposed to post it!! Somehow I forgot about the weekend and then the bank holiday, so this card will be late!! And it seems i have lost the recipients address too!!.I have had the Tulip embossing folder from Stampin Up for a while now, but havent really used it, as the size is slightly different from the others. But I decided that i wanted to master it, so i measured the interior to the edges and cut the card accordingly. The results were stunning and i am glad that i persevered. I cut a frame out and embossed some very Vanilla Card stock with the basket weave embossing folder and used the Beautiful Wings Embosslet with DSP to cut the lovely butterflies. I know the recipient is particularly fond of butterflies!!
Also her mantra/teaching is never to send a plain envelope. I was a bit stuck as what to do as this card didn't involve a stampset, until i hit on the idea of embossing the envelope as well. I hope you agree that it has all turned out to look very classy! Hope she likes it...if i ever get my act together and post it x

Pretty Necklace...boardering on romance?
I made this necklace sometime ago now and thought it would make a nice gift for a gilrfriend. Its always good to have something "in stock" just incase!!!I used the stampset Boardering on Romance with Stazon ink to stamp the image onto very Vanilla card stock. I then carefully coloured the image with Stampin Up marker pens. I stuck the card to a rectanlular glass pebble and put several coats of Crystal Effects on it. I made the box from Early Expresso cardstock. I was pleased with the result. Hope you like it too x

Thank You
I want to say a big thank you to Margaret Jones who helped me get to grips with blogging. Her cards are beautiful and she runs regular classes in Eastleigh, so go and have a look at her blog herewww.margaretjones.netTelford Shoebox Swap
I recently attended the Stampin Up Regionals in Telford. It was great fun and hugely inspiring to meet so many talented people all gathered in one room at the same time. I came back fired with enthusiasm and a host of new ideas for me and Brian to think about. By the way, for those of you who don't know, Brian is my Stampin Up snail!!! he and I are very close and he loves nothing better than an afternoon in my playpen with me creating lovely cards etc from the wonderful array of Stampin Up products. He is a messy worker, but i forgive him!!For Telford i made a shoebox swap to share with fellow demonstrators in my group and although the miles kept us apart, i believe they enjoyed my efforts...or perhaps it was the wine i left two.
The card i made was created using the Secret Garden stamp set from the Spring Summer Catalogue. I stamped the design in Crumb Cake onto Very Vanilla card stock and matted and layered using Comfort Cafe DSP, Crumb Cake Card stock and then finished it off with a selection of ribbons and a pretty button. I hope you like it. Simple yet sophisticated xx
